Congratulations! You’re the lucky winner in an internet lottery…

I am a recent victim of an internet lottery scam. I was notified via email that I won. Two weeks later, I received a check via US Mail in the amount of $9,500.00. They just want your email address, phone number and home address, no social security number. A week later, I get phone calls from the people involved want to know if the check cleared which takes 10-14 days. Two weeks later, I get an email stating that I am to send $4,000.00 to 2 different people at the same address via wire transfer. I did not send the money but I did invest it in my house with repairs and updates and small loans to family members. This was money that I thought was mine from the winnings. Two weeks later, I get a notice from my bank saying the check was fraudulent and they are coming after me for the $9,500.00 plus fees because it is more convenient than going after the people who sent me the check. Companies to be aware of “Helman Lottery, British Lotto Commission, Prime Royal Lottery”! Mine came from Helman Lottery.
